Times of Uncertainty Demand Certainty: Three sure ways to make an impact
February 2017 | Letter from President Lorie A. Slutsky
How can I make a difference? We heard that question repeatedly in the past year, as campaign rhetoric heated up against environmentalists, immigrants, civil libertarians, and even those with disabilities. The question comes from New Yorkers of all political stripes. At The Trust, we focus on improving the quality of life for everyone who lives, works, and studies here.
We’re resolved to make sure our City remains a beacon for all who believe in equity and respect.
So, how can you make a difference? Start a fund at The Trust, or talk to us about leaving a legacy. As a donor, you can join us at one of our half-dozen 2017 donor briefings on topics including an online service that matches skilled volunteers with nonprofits.
And consider the quickest way to get involved: Donate to our annual fund, which supports nonprofits that meet New York’s urgent needs.
In times of uncertainty, the certainty of our work becomes more critical. Join us
in making a difference.
Lorie A. Slutsky is president of The New York Community Trust.
