Types of Funds

Unrestricted Funds

The best way to make sure the contemporary needs of tomorrow's New York City are met. The Trust will use your gift to support effective work of nonprofits throughout the five boroughs, forever.

Field-of-Interest Fund

With these types of funds, we make grants to nonprofits that tackle issues of your choosing, such as child and family welfare, youth, education, or health.

Donor-Advised Fund

You recommend the organizations to receive grants, we do the due diligence and the paperwork.

Designated Funds

Name specific nonprofits to receive grants, and we will make them over time. Should circumstances change that make carrying out the fund's purpose impossible, impractical, unnecessary, or undesirable, our board can put the money to use for other important charitable activities.
