Biographical Sketches

Among our promises to donors is that grants will be made in their names—forever. As a further memorial, we also write biographical sketches of donors who have set up permanent funds.

A Legacy of
Care for the Elderly

Katherine Park

Katherine Park gave her money "to assist the elderly...with the problems of loneliness and boredom." For years, we made grants to nonprofits that took elders on outings. But by the mid-90s, with many elderly New Yorkers being cared for by poorly paid, unhappy home health aides rather than family, we started to use the Park Fund differently.
