Grantmaking Priorities

As an aggregate of almost 1,800 charitable funds, many of which were established for specific charitable activities, The Trust's grantmaking priorities are guided not only by our board and our assessment of the City's needs—they are also defined by our donors' charitable intentions. We use our unrestricted and broad field-of-interest funds to support areas, such as substance abuse services, for which we don’t have dedicated funds.

We make grants in four general areas:

Successful Grantmaking

Putting Seniors on the Payroll
ReServe Elder Service connects seniors with part-time jobs
