The past year has borne witness to a dramatic increase in racially motivated attacks on Asian Americans. With our support, the Asian American Federation created a safety ambassador program and prepared storefront businesses to help people who are being followed and harassed. They also launched a public awareness campaign that explores Asian-American ties to the American cities of their birth. New York Legal Assistance Group helped Asian crime victims gain lawful immigration status and Sakhi for South Asian Women helped survivors of domestic violence pursue their claims in immigration and family court.
