Although we make most of our competitive grants year-round, we periodically issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or seek Letters of Interest (LOIs) for special grantmaking programs. Sometimes the opportunity is closed; for example, the RFP is mailed to a selected list of nonprofits; others are open for any nonprofit that wishes to apply.
The national and international environment program starts the process with an LOI, which can be submitted through the Grants Portal during three-week windows each fall (late September) and winter (late February). In 2020, the next submission window will open in the fall. These LOIs should be no more than four pages and include a description of the project, proposed activities, and a preliminary budget.
To apply for grants from our Heisman Trophy Youth Development Fund please submit a letter of inquiry (LOI) through our Grants Portal. The fund is accepting Letters of Inquiry until 4/14/2020.
